Industry & Academia: Working Together in Silicon Photonics

Photonex Enlighten Conference Industry and Academia working together in silicon photonics meetingWednesday 10th October

Silicon photonics is fast becoming one of the most buoyant technologies in the world and has the potential to revolutionise short reach interconnects for applications in a wide variety of sectors from computing and communications to security and healthcare.

This conference aims to deliberate over how academia can assist industry in the uptake of silicon photonics devices and systems.

Led by the teams from the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton and Seagate Technology UK, the meeting includes contributions from companies currently utilising silicon photonics technologies, as well as key UK research groups.

A full programme will be posted shortly - subscribe for updates to remain in the loop.

CALL FOR POSTERS

This meeting is an opportunity for you to contribute to research knowledge, to meet with like-minded researchers and to network at a high level.

The main meeting programme will be by invitation. However we are keen to involve students and early career scientists who are researching novel and exciting new techniques or unique applications.

We invite abstracts for poster presentation.

Posters will be located inside the Photonex Europe exhibition area for maximum exposure and will provide an invaluable networking opportunity.

There will be two poster prizes. One will be given for the best presented poster (voted by delegates) and a second for technical merit (voted on by the organising committee).
