The exhibition
New ‘start-up’ and University spin-out companies will be demonstrating their skills and showing off their latest developments, prototype instruments and presenting their ‘IP’ which is available for commercialisation.

Look at Ossila, a company born in the Kroto Innovation Centre at the University of Sheffield. Ossila has grown out of many years of organic electronics research. Founded by a group of research scientists with the aim of providing the components, equipment and materials to enable faster and smarter research and discovery, they have spent many years both in industry and academia developing organic LEDs and organic photovoltaics. Speaking about their attendance company director, Dr James Kingsley, says “We had only been incorporated for three months when we attended Photonex. Discussions with visitors to the show whom we had not known before led to one of our first major contracts helping to get us off the ground commercially.” |
