Spectral Imaging
Call for Papers
“This meeting is aimed at bringing together participants from all fields of spectral imaging. Spectral imaging combines conventional imaging with spectroscopy to enable enhanced classification or quantification based on variations in spectral signatures.
Spectral imaging is now being developed for a range of applications including medicine, biology, surveillance, remote sensing and industrial inspection.
Important issues for spectral imaging are associated with developing instrumentation that can demonstrate the required performance criteria, the development of algorithms for calibration and exploitation of spectral data."
Dr Steve Morgan, Meeting Programme Organiser.
Deadline Date for Paper Submission: 3rd September 2010
This meeting will be an important opportunity to network with leaders in optical engineering and design. For those new to optical design and integration this will be an excellent chance for professional
development.
Original contributions are welcomed on all aspects of spectral imaging - we particularly invite contributions in the following, though not exclusive areas: Spectral imaging instrumentation • Modelling of spectral scenes • Calibration • Algorithms for spectral imaging • Digital signal processing for spectral imaging Applications of spectral imaging in: Medicine & Biology • Geographical information systems • Surveillance • Remote sensing & pollution monitoring •Industrial inspection |
