 Photonics & Analytical Marketing will show the i-LAB Hand Held microSpectrometer, which is a hand-held spectrometer for testing liquids. The i-LAB performs real-time measurement and analysis of liquids in the visible light range from 400–700nm. The product uses microSpectral Sensors’ patented, integrated sensing system to accomplish spectrometer functionality in a compact and user-friendly package.
The i-LAB System features a variety of sample interface adapters for sample measurement in the laboratory, field, plant, and/or classroom environments. The standard i-LAB package includes 10mm disposable Samplettes that enable rapid and reliable sample measurement. The product is highly energy efficient as it is powered by 3 AA batteries and the illumination is provided by LEDs. The reduced power requirement allows the product to conduct spectrometer quality measurements in a hand-held, portable device.
The i-LAB package also includes i-LAB Spectrum Software (Standard and Professional Versions) that gives users the ability to create customised measurement methods for specific applications to be downloaded to the i-LAB for use in the field. These user-specific measurement methods can then be used to analyse data directly at the sample source site as opposed to taking samples back to the lab for analysis. The i-LAB is able to store data and analyses information for later uploading to a computer.
