 Following a cooperation agreement with Satisloh, Evatec is now building the PDS plasma source for enhanced thin film evaporation processes. The source will be available for both new BAK box coaters and as retrofit in existing systems enabling optical coating manufacturers to achieve higher film densities with improved mechanical and optical stabilities.
“We found the PDS to have significant production advantages over other sources in the market” explains Evatec Product Manager Patrick Good “Its capability for large areas, combined with low running costs, simple installation and maintenance make it a really cost effective solution for volume production”
Evatec’s applications engineering team in Switzerland will continue to improve the source further and offer support via its existing network of sales and service offices
