 Following a cooperation agreement with Oerlikon, Evatec is launching a dedicated new sputter solution for production of optical thin films to the wider market . The MSP sputter solution has already been production proven by Oerlikon Optics in mass production and is suitable for products including antireflection coatings, notch and bandpass filters.
“Proprietary cathode technology, combined with insitu plasma and broadband optical monitoring allow cut on / off tolerances of better than +/- 1% to be achieved economically for the first time in real mass production applications” explains Evatec Technical Director Marco Padrun “ Combined with the superior temperature and environmental stability of sputtered films , the system is well placed to meet the demands from the growing interest in sputter technology “
Process support will be available from Evatec’s applications laboratory in Switzerland and Evatec’s network of global offices will provide local sales and service.
