Cedip Infrared Systems on Stand C22

Cedip Infrared Systems to focus on IR cameras at Photonex 2008

Cedip Infrared Systems, now full part of FLIR systems, as with every year, will be present at the Photonex exhibition. Cedip/FLIR will present the most recent additions in its affordable, high performance IR camera range to the UK market.

Visitors to stand C22 will have the chance to discuss and see demonstrated Cedip's innovative Titanium – a series of flexible high performance IR camera systems that may be configured to provide outstanding results from almost any R&D or Thermography application.

Titanium IR systems are available with a broad range of detectors including state-of-the-art InSb, MCT or QWIP focal plane array detectors that achieve outstanding sensitivity of ess than 18 mK even at the highest frame rates in both the MWIR and LWIR domains. Built for operational flexibility Titanium is programmable from 1Hz to 380 Hz in full frame mode, offers a sub-array windowing mode with integration time adjustable in 1μs increments and smart external triggering capability synchronizing image capture to even the most fleeting events. Titanium IR systems offer true plug & play compatibility with standard computers as well as third party frame grabbers and image processing software. Using either CAMLINK, USB2.0 or GigE interfaces the Titanium is able to transmit commands and transfer video images at 40 MHz pixel rate and full 14-bit dynamic range. Comprehensive image analysis software dedicated to thermal measurement comes as standard.

Jon Chicken, previously business manager of Cedip Infrared Systems Ltd who joined FLIR Ltd said ' by delivering innovative and affordable products, like the itanium, that offers leading edge performances, reliability and versatility, we are opening up new markets to the application of IR imaging technology'.

Also on display with be the popular Silver IR 660 camera that is specifically designed for the most demanding users of IR technology, who want to perform thermal imagery at high spatial resolution with the highest sensitivity and accuracy at an affordable cost.

Cedip Infrared Systems is now a full part of FLIR Systems. Indeed, the two specialists have joined forces in the manufacturing and marketing of cooled mid- and long-wave infrared cameras for the science, R&D and security markets. Consequently, this means that the infrared cameras made by the Cedip operations are a prominent part of FLIR Systems’ high-end product range and are sold under that brand name.

The Cedip facilities in France (Croissy-Beaubourg, 77) continue to develop and produce high-end systems and are now the center of excellence for this product segment within the company. Today, Cedip is thus called FLIR Advanced Thermal Solutions (FLIR ATS) within the FLIR Systems group. FLIR ATS provides world class infrared imaging cameras and systems for high end applications. Our products are used in the R&D, industry, medical and defence fields.
